ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

Students are admitted into Jacksonville State University through the University Admissions Office. Applications may be secured and filed with this office. In addition, official transcripts of previous course work should be sent to the Registrar's Office, Jacksonville State University, 700 Pelham Road North, Jacksonville, Alabama, 36265-1602. Entrance into the upper division of nursing requires that the student has

• been admitted to Jacksonville State University with all current transcripts on file
• been individually advised, since each may have different educational needs
• a current Registered Nursing License
• Minimum 2.5 GPA on prerequisite courses
• Completion of all prerequisite and general studies coursework with a “C” or better

Deadline for Admission to the STEP program:

• Fall Semester- Deadline is August 1st
• Spring Semester- Deadline is December 1st
• Summer Semester- Deadline is April 1st
