American students are selected by an application process and also by an interview. Application forms are obtainable through this web site (see the right side of this screen under "Applications").  If you have trouble downloading these forms, please contact the International House.  American students usually have a wide variety of majors.

Efforts are made so that American Students in the program represent the general composition of Jacksonville State University. Generally, there are students involved in every aspect of college life in the program. Members have been S.G.A. senators, ballerinas, band members, fraternity and sorority members, drama students, R.O.T.C., honor societies, professional clubs and J.S.U. athletes. This diversity provides the international students an opportunity to observe our American culture firsthand.

American students in the program furnish their college expenses. However, a large number of Americans selected are on leadership or faculty scholarships. There are no extra fees or charges for membership in the International House Program.
