The JSU planetarium provides an fascinating experience through which K-12 classroom students, youth organizations, and university students can learn about astronomy. It houses a Digistar 3SP projector, giving it the most modern planetarium technology in the Southeast. Second
Saturday Space Safaris
Travel through space and explore planet Earth during these exciting programs
for families and children. Dr. Laura Weinkauf and Dr. Kelly Gregg (of JSU
Department of Physical and Earth Sciences), and JSU Field School’s Renee
Morrison will be leading these programs as families learn about outer space,
watch exciting dome films about Earth and its creatures, and/or meet live
animals.
