Dr. Miriam Helen Hill and Dr. Bryan Burgess received a conservation grant from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) of Redlands, California to assist in the construction of spatial database and websites to provide environmental information for mapping and analysis for seven states and valued at $135,000, October 3, 2007.
Dr. Miriam Helen Hill and Dr. Bryan Burgess of Friends of Rural Alabama received a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to "Create GIS Systems for Mapping and Analyzing Nutrient Loading in Four Water Resource Regions" a two year study for $99,400, August 2006-August 2008. This mapped 16 states with 11 water resource regions, and 60 environmental groups received training. Twenty computer systems were supplied and other grants purchased 18 computers.
Dr. Miriam Helen Hill and Dr. Bryan Burgess received a $5000 grant from Rivers Unlimited of Cincinnati, Ohio to construct a spatial database and website to provide environmental information for mapping and analysis.
