The University offers various scholarships for entering freshmen as well as for those already enrolled. Most scholarships are based on the applicant's academic or extracurricular record, while some are based on demonstrated financial need. Those requesting scholarships based on need should also submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The quickest way to apply is online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Consult our Scholarship Listing for information pertaining to individual requirements of scholarships offered. Scholarship offers are subject to applicant being admitted to the University. Application deadline is February 1, 2008 for scholarships.To apply for university scholarships complete this electronic application.
A number of one-year, full tuition scholarships are available to high school senior applicants based primarily on their leadership roles, offices held in extracurricular activities, and community involvement. These applicants must be unconditionally admitted to JSU and have a 2.5 academic GPA.
To apply for a Leadership Scholarship: Please attach a resumé including all information pertinent to scholarship selection to the printed scholarship application. Also, include a copy of your high school transcript and a photograph.
Note: You must have the signature of your high school counselor or principal to verify the information listed on your resumé.
