There is not required text for the class.
However, you must have access to an up-to-date style manual. Those who purchased the blue hardback Holt Handbook for a recent English class should use that. Check with me if your handbook is older; it likely has outdated information.

Annotation: Combines selections from writers with practical advice. The anthology is organized mostly as a 101 rhetoric, in other words the chapters include Description, Process, Persuasion. There is a "Sentence Exercises" chapter at the back. Little or nothing for research and citation help.
