REGISTRATION

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES

You may select one of three registration options:

  • Computer assisted registration, which requires you to go to a designated terminal in the college of your major,

  • IN-TOUCH, 256/782-2830

  • INTERNET, www.jsu.edu

You’ll need the class schedule book and trial schedule or telephone registration worksheet. These may be picked up at the Teacher Service Center, Mail Center window or in Admissions and Records.

Follow these easy steps. . . Plan your schedule and get it approved by your faculty advisor.

  1. If using IN-TOUCH or INTERNET, your advisor must clear you for access.

  2. Housing guidelines - see schedule book for details.

  3. Motor vehicle registration - To drive and park on campus you must register your motor vehicle and obtain a parking permit. Note on your trial schedule the number of permits desired, register the vehicle, and pick up the permit(s) at the Office of University Police.

  4. Determine your preregistration day by dates printed in Class Schedule.

  5. All student accounts must be clear and HOLDS cleared before registration.

  6. If you are registering on campus, you may ask the Computer Operator to check your mailing address during registration.
