Roxanne Bressett - B.S. Exercise Science & Wellness
Roxanne Bressett Roxanne is from Vero Beach, Florida and attended Pleasant Valley High School where she was a member of the track and cross country teams, the danceline, and the Beta Club before graduating in 2001. At JSU she has been a member of the Marching Ballarinas, Omicron Delta Kappa, and a student athletic trainer. She is listed in Who's Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities and earned an ASMI Scholarship. After receiving her B.S. degree in Exercise Science & Wellness with a Minor in Nutrition in the Spring of 2005 she plans to pursue graduate study in Physical Therapy.
Courtney Brothers - B.S.Ed. Health Education
Courtney is from Southside, Alabama where she played volleyball, softball, and basketball at Southside High School and received a scholarship to play softball at Gadsden State Community College. She is the daughter of Johnny and Teresa Brothers and is currently coaching volleyball, softball, and basketball at Southside High School. Courtney is a Health Education major with a minor in Physical Education and plans to teach Health and/or Physical Education and coach after graduating from JSU in the Spring of 2005. Tommy Bryant - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Tommy Bryant Tommy is from Sylvania, Alabama where he played varsity basketball and was a member of the Beta and Spanish Clubs and a member of Mu Alpha Theta before graduating in 2000. He attended Gadsden State Community College before coming to JSU. He is a member of the HPER Club and plans to teach Physical Education. Tommy received his B.S.Ed. degree cum laude April 29, 2005.
Andrew Burns - B.S. Exercise Science & Wellness
Andrew is from Bynum, Alabama where he played football and baseball and was Vice-President of the Student Council at Walter Wellborn High School. He transferred to JSU from Wallace State Community College in Hanceville. Andrew was a member of the HPER Club, the History Club, the National History Fraternity, the National Honor Society (Omicron), and the Dean's list. He and his wife Amy have a three year-old son named Luke. Andrew received his B.S. degree cum laude in Exercise Science & Wellness with a Minor in History. He is currently working at the Anniston Army Depot Fitness Center and plans to attend Physical Therapy school at UAB. Andrew Burns
Rachel Doak - B.S. Exercise Science & Wellness
Rachel Doak Rachel is from Douglas, Alabama where she graduated from Douglas High School in 2001. She earned a cross country and track scholarship to JSU where she was inducted into the 2003-2004 class of the JSU Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame, was Academic All-Conference and is a member of the Eta Phi Beta Honor Society. Rachel received her B.S. degree cum laude in Exercise Science & Wellness with a Minor in Psychology that she plans to use as a traveling Physical Therapist before becoming an Athletic PT.
Joyce Fuller - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Joyce is from Heflin, Alabama where she attended Cleburne County High School. After graduation she went to Gadsden State Community College before transferring to JSU. Joyce has been very active in the HPER Club and has been a valuable volunteer for both the Gamecock Gallop and Gamecock Youth Run. She has been married for 17 years and is the proud mother of a 15 year-old son and 12 year-old daughter. Joyce plans to become a middle school or high school Physical Education teacher after receiving her B.S. Ed. degree in Physical Education in the Spring of 2005. Joyce Fuller photo not available
Cristy Grizzard - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Cristy Grizzard Cristy is from Oxford, Alabama where she played volleyball, basketball, and softball and was a member of the BETA and Latin Clubs at Faith Christian High School. At JSU she has been on the Dean's list for two years, active in the HPER Club and Intramural sports where she was named Recreational Sports Woman of the year for two years (2003-04 and 2004-05)! Last summer Cristy went on a mission trip to Lithuania and has volunteered with World Changers, Special Olympics, Lakeshore Super Sports, and both the Gamecock Gallop and Gamecock Youth Run. She has attended national and state conferences in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance and been a volunteer basketball coach for 11 and under and a soccer referee. After receiving her degree in Physical Education in the Spring of 2005, she plans to teach Physical Education and coach volleyball and softball.
Kim Halbach - B.S. Exercise Science & Wellness
Kim is from Burlington, Wisconsin where she played Volleyball and Basketball, was on the Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society at Burlington High School before graduating in 2001. She is attending JSU on a Volleyball scholarship and is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Commitee and the HPER Club. In addition to earning a Volleyball scholarship, Kim won the Ohio Valley Conference Student-Athlete Award in 2004 and was inducted into the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 classes of the JSU Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame. She received her B.S. degree magna cum laude in Exercise Science & Wellness in the Spring of 2005 and was named the Outstanding Student in the Exercise Science & Wellness Program for 2004-2005. Brian Haskins - B.S. Exercise Science & Wellness
Brian Haskins Brian is from Hokes Bluff, Alabama where he was a member of FCA, the baseball team and the National Honor Society at Benjamin Russell High School before graduating in 2001. At JSU he played baseball and was on the Leadership Team of FCA. Brian earned All-Conference Academic Team honors in 2002 and is a member of the JSU Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame. He received his B.S. degree in Exercise Science & Wellness in the Spring of 2005 and plans to attend Physical Therapy School at UAB.
Phillip Kirsch - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Phillip is from Anniston, Alabama where he was a member of the Tennis team, Scholars Bowl, Academic Decathlon and Junior and Senoir Honor Societies at Saks High School before graduating in 1993. He is a member of the JSU HPER Club and was inducted into the Honor Society in 2003. Phillip received his B.S.Ed. in Physical Education in the Spring of 2005 and plans to teach Physical Education, Coach and perhaps eventually become a College Professor. Phillip Kirsch
Clay Shearer, Jr. - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Clay Shearer Clay is from Cullman, Alabama where he played baseball (4 years), football (1 year), basketball (1 year) and was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Cullman High School. He played baseball at Bevill State Community College and Enterprise State and also attended Wallace State Community College before enrolling at JSU on a transfer scholarship. Clay was on the Dean's list at Bevill State and was named the outstanding transfer student. While at JSU he has been active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Intramural Sports and the HPER Club. Clay received his B.S.Ed. in Physical Education and plans to teach Physical Education and coach baseball at the high school level.
Molly Louise Sosebee - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Molly is from Hokes Bluff, Alabama and some of her many activities at JSU included working on the Mimosa Yearbook Staff, serving as “Cocky” the school mascot, Panhellenic Council, member of Delta Zeta Sorority, attended the AAHPERD National Conference, member of the IFC Expansion Committee, Special Olympics Volunteer, and was an Assistant coach at local high schools for various sports. Molly was Vice President of the student section of the Alabama State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (ASAHPERD) and presented and presided over sessions at the ASAHPERD Fall Conference in 2004. She attended the National Student Leadership Conference in 2004 and served as an officer in the HPER Club. Molly received various Delta Zeta awards, and most notably was selected on a national level as a recipient of Delta Zeta's Grace Mason Lundy Award for 2005. She is a member of Rho Lambda Panhellenic Honor Society, Order of Omega Greek Honor Society, Who's Who Among America's Colleges and Universities, President's List, and the Dean's List. Mary Stovall - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Mary Stovall Mary is from Hokes Bluff, Alabama where she graduated from Litchfield High School. She graduated cum laude from Gadsden State Community College before enrolling at JSU. Mary is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, the HPER Club and was named Employee of the year at Riverview Regional Medical Center. After receiving her degree in Physical Education with an add-on endorsement in Health Education she plans to be an elementary Health and Physical Education teacher. Mary has been married to Gary Stovall for 18 years and is the proud mother of a 16 year-old son.
Rachel Townson - B.S.Ed. Physical Education
Rachel is from Cleveland, Alabama where she played Softball, Basketball, ran Track, was a Cheerleader, a member of SGA and the Senior Beta Club at Cleveland High School before graduating in 2001. She earned a Faculty Scholarship to JSU where she was a member of the HPER Club, Phi Mu Sorority, Young Republicans, Pi Lamda Theta Education Honor Society, Panhellenic Council, Athletics Editor of the Mimosa (JSU's Yearbook) and JSU's Homecoming Queen for 2004-2005. Rachel received her B.S.Ed. Degree summa cum laude in April 2005 and was named the Outstanding Student in the Physical Education Program for 2004-2005. Beverly Weaver - M.S.Ed. Physical Education
Beverly Weaver Beverly is from Jacksonville, Alabama where she played basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer and ran cross country at Pleasant Valley High School before graduating in 1998. She played basketball for 4 years at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and was also a member of Delta Zeta Tau. Beverly teaches Physical Education to grades 7-12 at White Plains High School where she is also the varsity girls volleyball and basketball coach.

Anna is a Physical Education major from Lawrenceville, Georgia where she was a member of FCA, a cheerleader, and the track and field team at Central Gwinnett High School before graduating in 2001. She came to JSU on a track scholarship and has been active in FCA, BCM, and the HPER Club (serving as President for 2004-2005). Anna was on the All-Conference Academic Team and won the Ronnie Harris Award as the Outstanding HPER Club member for 2004-2005. Jared Blair
Jared is from Tallassee, Alabama where he played football, golf, wrestled, and was a member of FFA, and FCA at Tallassee High School before graduating in 2000. He attended Gadsden State Community College before transferring to JSU and has been on the Dean's List and President's List. Jared will graduate in the Summer of 2005 with a degree in Exercise Science & Wellness and plans to attend Alabama State University to complete the pre-requisites and apply to Physical Therapy School. Steven Herston
Steven is from Cedar Bluff, Alabama where he played football and baseball and was in the Coronation Court, the Beta Club and the Math contest team. He attended Shoals Community College, Central Community College and the University of North Alabama before coming to JSU. Steven earned a Bryant-Jordan Scholarship, is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and listed in Who's Who among students in Colleges and Universities. Lindsey Holland
Lindsey Holland Lindsey is from Southside, Alabama where she was President of the ASTRA Club, the S Club,FCCLA and was a cheerleader (3 years), played soccer (3 years), was a Class Beauty (4 years) and on the Homecoming Court (4 years) at Southside High School. She attended Auburn University and Gadsden State Community College prior to enrolling at JSU. Lindsey is Vice-President of Administration for Alpha Omicron Pi, a member of the HPER Club, participates in Intramural Sports, serves on Student Government committees and is listed in Who's Who among students in Colleges and Universities. She is an Exercise Science & Wellness major with a minor in Psychology and plans to enter the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Jefferson State Community College after graduating in the Summer of 2005.
Julie Ingram
Julie is from Gadsden, Alabama where she was a active in the Beta Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Rebels for Christ, Band, Choral, Danceline, Senior Class Officer, and Habitat for Humanity at Emma Sansom High School before graduating in 2001. At JSU she earned a Freshman Leadership Scholarship, is a member of the HPER Club, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and is listed in Who's Who among students in American Colleges and Universities. Julie is an Exercise Science & Wellness major with a minor in Biology and is currently a certified aerobics instructor at Gold's Gym in Rainbow City. Meredeth May Kleve
Meredeth Kleve Meredeth is from Slidell, Louisiana where she was a member of the track team and dance team at Salmen High School before graduating in 1994. She proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1994 - 2001 where she was a heavy equipment operator,ater becoming a member of the 82nd Airborne completing her service with 40 jumps. Meredeth is an Exercise Science & Wellness major with a minor in Nutrition and will graduate in the Summer of 2005. Her future plans include working in the wellness field and graduate school.
Tim Lewis
Tim is and Exercise Science & Wellness major from Prattville, Alabama where he played basketball and was active in FCA and SGA before graduating in 2001. He attended Shelton State Community College on a basketball scholarship and also received a City of Prattville scholarship. Jonathan Emil Lindblad
Jonathan Lindblad Jonathan is a Recreation Leadership major from Boaz, Alabama where he was on the football and track teams and was involved in YFC, Junior Civitans, was voted class favorite and most courteous at Boaz High School before graduating in 2001. He is married to a wonderful woman (Ashley Lindblad) who is his heart and joy. Jonathan was named the Outstanding Student in the Recreation Leadership program for 2004-2005. He will graduate in the Summer of 2005 and plans to work in outdoor adventure, hopefully taking people on trips to the backcountry.
Micheal Pattillo
Micheal is from Auburn, Alabama where he played football and was a member of JROTC and FFA at Auburn High School. He earned a David Boozer scholarship, is listed in Who's Who among students in Colleges and Universities and the National Dean's list. He has worked at JSU's Camp Life and is a member of the HPER Club and JSU Disaster team. Micheal has been a volunteer coach and substitute teacher at Piedmont High School for the past two years and plans to be a High School Physical Education teacher and coach and one day coach at the college level. Candice Scruggs
Candice Scruggs Candice is an Exercise Science & Wellness major from Huntsville, ALabama where she ran Track and played volleyball at Johnson High School before graduating in 2000. She attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta where she ran Track 1 year and played Volleyball for 3 years, serving as team captain for 2 years. Candice was named the most dedicated Track athlete in 2000-2001 and won the Academic Award for having the highest GPA on the Volleyball team. After graduating from JSU in the Summer of 2005 she plans to become a certified personal trainer and athletic trainer before using her Business minor to open her own fitness center.
Lauren Shirey
Lauren is a Physical Education major from Jacksonville, Alabama where she played tennis and soccer at Jacksonville High School. After graduating from JHS Lauren attended Gadsden State Community College before transferring to JSU. She was awarded the Clyde and Jerry Wilson scholarship and is listed in Who's Who among Students in Universities and Colleges. Lauren is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Beta Gamma and enjoys playing tennis, ping pong, water and snow skiing. Lindsay Slater
Lindsay Slater Lindsay is from Rockford, Alabama where she played basketball for 4 years and was a member of the Beta Club and choral group at Central Coosa High School before graduating in 2001. She attended Southern Union Community College on a basketball scholarship before transferring to JSU. She is involved in Intramural basketball, a member of Babtist Campus Ministries, the HPER club and ASAHPERD. Lindsay is a Physical Education major working on an add-on endorsement in Health Education that she hopes to use in securing a teaching and coaching job in Coosa County after graduating in the Fall of 2005. She also plans to enroll in graduate courses in the Spring of 2006.

Chase is from Birmingham, Alabama where he played football, ran track, and was a member of FCA and the Interact Club at Shades Valley High School. Joshua Smith Joshua is form Geraldine, Alabama where he played football, basketball, and baseball and was a member of the Beta Club at Geraldine High School. He played baseball at Snead State Community College before transferring to JSU. Joshua earned an Elliot Scholarship and is listed in Who's Who among students in Colleges and Universities. He is majoring in Exercise Science & Wellness with a minor in Nutrition and plans to attend Physical Therapy School at either UAB or South Alabama after graduating in the Fall of 2005.
