Students who meet the requirements for this degree program will receive
a Class B Professional Certificate and will be qualified to teach physical
education in grades N through 12. A minor in physical education is
available for students who are pursuing a non-teaching degree. A minor
consists of 21 hours of selected courses.
The physical education faculty are guided by the college's conceptual framework in order to
prepare graduates to be creative decision makers. We strive to promote reflective thinking
through coursework and practicum experiences so that our students will be able to make decisions
rapidly, continuously, and purposefully while in the field.
