Linda Galloway graduated from JSU in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in physical Education and received her master's in physical education in 1983. Galloway is presently teaching health and physical education at Tapp Middle School in Powder Springs, Ga.

Among her numerous honors are the Southern District Honor Award, GAHPERD Honor Award, Georgia Intramural Director of the Year, PACE Award, NASPE, Atlanta Journal-Constitution Honor Teacher, Tapp Middle School Teacher of the Year, AAHPERD Outstanding Hoops for Heart Award, American Red Cross School Sponsor of the Year, and Georgia Middle School Physical Educator of the Year.

Her related professional experience includes serving as president of the Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; vice president of Southern District American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance; and as coordinator of Georgia Hoops for Heart.

Galloway is married to Joe Galloway and they have one son, Joseph, who is married and lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
