Honor Society

Alpha Eta Epsilon - is an honor society that recognizes outstanding students majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences. Eligibility includes: junior or senior status with completion of 15 semester hours minimum in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences, and an overall and in-major GPA of 3.0.

Professional and Departmental Clubs


Student Chapter of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences -  promotes careers in Family and Consumer Sciences and emphasizes the importance of family and community. Membership is open to all Family and Consumer Science majors, minors, or students who are currently enrolled in courses in the department. Students may qualify for student membership in the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Student Dietetics and Foodservice Association - promotes the fields of dietetics and foodservice. The purposes of the organization are to promote proper nutrition and establish relationships with the commercial and institutional foodservice industry. Dietetics majors may qualify for student membership in the American Dietetics Association.

Child Development Club - The purposes of the organization are to promote the field of child development and provide opportunities for fellowship, as well as personal and professional growth, to child development students.

Membership is open to students with a concentration or minor in child development.
