| In this television studio, one of two in the
department, students produce news programming for TV 24, a low-power station
viewed on local cable Channel 9. Students assume the positions of producer,
assistant producer, director, technical director, camera operators, audio
technician, VTR operator, character generator technician, and TelePrompTer
© operator. Auditions are held for the anchor/host positions. See
our recently renevated studio below. |
The TV studio houses three cameras, a digital TelePrompTer © system,
and has chromakey capability. |
Titles are created for "JSU This Week" using the Inscriber computer
system. |
Students in the control room are ready for the action! Directing and
switching the program all happen here. |
Lloyd Dobyns, Ayers Chair of Broadcasting, instructs the hosts of "JSU
This Week". |
