Undergraduate Catalog

Every student must complete the requirements listed in the JSU Catalog for the year they were officially admitted to the university. The abbreviated catalog for the College of Education and Professional Studies (which the Department of Communication is affiliated with) is available for 2006-2007 and 2007-2009 in adobe PDF format.

Interested students should consult the latest catalog (2007-2009) for current course descriptions when considering registering for a particular communication class. An optional frameset view is available to navigate between course numbers, if you already know which classes you need to take. Those not currently enrolled might be better served by either returning to the Communication home page or the visitors index.

Students interested in registering for classes should acquire the latest print version of the schedule of classes, or visit MyJSU to conduct a search for the courses they desire (select the "look up classes" option, then the appropriate semester from the jump menu when prompted.).

What is a jump menu? Look in the upper right of this web page for a field that has a visible area directing surfers to "select program/media". Simply click and hold the mouse down on the scroll arrows, then scroll down with the mouse to the desired location and release the mouse. You will also notice there is a shortcut link there to MyJSU, and that there is a shortcut to your Gamecock Email (GEM) account login in the left sidebar...these appear on all the student pages to facilitate navigation.
