| Fairview-University Medial Center has been providing specialized services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals with substance abuse addictions for many years. They also provide training for professionals in the field of deafness, in the unique problems that Deaf and Hard of Hearing people face when seeking counseling services. The group of students in the 1999 summer program are a diverse group of individuals from around the U.S. who came together for the common purpose of learning how to better serve their Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients. |
