Current Issues in E-Commerce

Students
will participate in a symposium setting to conduct research and examine
current issues in the field of e-commerce. The focus of the class will
be on understanding new business models emerging on the Internet. Students
will have the opportunity to select from a series of semester long class
projects. All class materials will be drawn from data available to us
on the World Wide Web and will include government documents as well
and the latest research in the field. The class will consist of one
session per week of discussion on assigned readings, one computer lab
session to conduct team based research, and one session to report research
findings and issues.
This term,
we will conduct joint research sessions with students in the business
school at Deakin University, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
