Each year during the closing banquet at
its national conference, the Association of Small Business Development
Centers recognizes one individual from each state who has demonstrated a
dedication and strong commitment to their state's
SBDC program. These nominees are selected for the Association's "State
Star Award."
Are congratulations go out to Mrs. Robbie Medders
on being selected as Alabama's
2003 "State Star." Robbie started to work at JSU in 1982 and has held 4 positions while working
for the Small Business Development Center. We are proud of her and her
outstanding service to the SBDC program in Alabama. The work that the SBDC
does directly affects the economic climate of Alabama. Robbie was presented
with her award by an official of the Small Business Administration at the
conference in San Diego on October 4.
We are pleased that the 2003 Alabama "State
Star Award" recipient comes from Jacksonville State University. Robbie was nominated by
her state director, Mr. Bill Campbell.
