Brown University is also charging zero-priced tuition for students from families earning $60,000 a year or less, according to Bloomberg. Jacksonville State needs to do this as well. There is a strong economic argument that policies like this actually cost universities nothing. (Students who email me this argument might receive an extra credit bonus.)

Students and their families who earn under 60,000 dollars per year or less are most likely going to find their way to some sort of scholarship or grant. I can say this from experience because my family earns under 60,000 dollars per year, and I am currently on scholarship. Brown University has come up with a great idea that will benefit many students and their families. JSU would benefit greatly from doing something similar to Brown's new policy.
