JSU offers scholarships to academically gifted students through its Faculty Scholars program. Alabama residents who score a minimum of 28 on the ACT or 1260 on the SAT may apply for a Faculty Scholarship. This scholarship pays 75%-100% tuition and is renewable if the recipient maintains the necessary grade requirement. Entering freshmen with an ACT score of 32 or above or SAT score of 1390 or above are eligible for an Elite Scholars award, which provides full tuition and housing. These scholarships are limited to Alabama residents. Leadership Scholarships and McGee scholarships are available for non-Alabama residents.
