Graduating Seniors
This year was a big year for the Honors Program for several reasons, and an important one is that three students graduated having completed the Program. In December 2007, Summer Hunt and William A. Scroggins graduated with that distinction, majoring in communications and computer information systems. In the spring of 2008, Amy Nunnelly was our Honors graduate. All three students received a certificate and a medallion, which they wore at their respective graduations. We look forward to honoring many more graduates in the future. ![]() ![]() Alabama Honors Council For the second year in a row, JSU students attended the Alabama Honors Council annual conference, March 4-5, 2005. Held at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, the conference drew students, faculty, and administrators from university Honors programs from across the state. The program featured a presentation by Dr. Sue Walker, Alabama Poet Laureate, an exploration of Mobile Bay on half-day boat trips, a presentation by Jack Friend on the Battle of Mobile Bay, a visit to the multi-faceted Estuarium and Aquarium, and a student game night and karaoke party. JSU was ably represented by Dr. Teresa Reed, Candace Bryant, Meghan Fisher, Summer Hunt, and Margaret Myers.
