Minutes of the September 15, 2004 meeting were reviewed and approved.

FACULTY SENATE RESOLUTION: Dr. Dodd reported a resolution of the Faculty Senate that recommends those invited to pray at University functions be instructed to offer only general, non-denominational prayers suitable for all faiths.  After discussion Dr. Dodd withdrew the resolution.

NEW POLICY ON SUPPLEMENTAL PAYMENTS AND AWARDS.  Dr. Delap reported  Policy I:02:07:03 Supplemental Payments, Awards made to or on behalf of JSU Employees Funded Through Authorized Institutional Related Foundations.  He asked that AC members be aware that payments or awards made to employees will be taxable and subject to withholding.

ORGANIZATIONAL CHART 2004-2005: Dr. Delap reported an updated organizational chart.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Ms. Williams announced homecoming activities: Thursday night bonfire, Friday lunch karoke in the cafeteria, and Saturday’s parade and football game.  Homecoming t-shirts are on sale in the Office of Student Life.

Ms. Campbell announced problems with registration will be corrected as soon as possible.
