Minutes of the December 17, 2003 meeting were reviewed and approved with a date change for the visit from NCN Japan to January 16, 2004.


PRISM TEMPLATE: Mr. Smith reported January is the month for unit planning and entering plans on PRISM.  January 30 is the suggested due date for entering plans online.  Plans are due to the VPASA by February 27.    Mr. Smith reminded deans funding requests should be met with a goal.  2003-2004 plans were rolled forward on PRISM for a starting point for 2005.  Workshops will be held for those needing an overview of the system and Mr. Smith’s office may be contacted with any questions or help entering plans.

ENROLLMENT SPRING 2004: Dr. Turner reported spring enrollment at 7,115 students.

FACILITIES MASTER PLAN 2025: Mr. Jay Jenkins and Mr. Danny McEachern of Jenkins, Munroe, Jenkins Architecture presented an overview of the facilities master plan for 2025.

Mr. Jenkins reported McClellan 3181 construction is ahead of schedule and the September 15 Gadsden move in and December 15 JSU move in dates should be met.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Dr. Turner announced the planning calendar for 2004-2005 has been approved by the President.

Dr. Harper announced EDPS received an A on their report card from PEPE.

Dr. Ketterer announced representatives from NCN Japan will be on campus January 16 for a tour of university facilities.  The representatives will eat lunch in the dining hall and begin a tour of the library at 12:45, followed by tours of the dorms and academic buildings.
