Directions from Birmingham, Alabama to Jacksonville State University

From Birmingham: Take I-20 East out of Birmingham toward Atlanta. Go approximately 65 miles to Anniston/Oxford exit. Turn left onto highway 21 North. Go through Oxford. Anniston/McClellan area and the Jacksonville square (about 15 miles). You will see the twelve story Houston Cole Library on the right and the marble University sign on the left. Go through the traffic light between the landmarks, directly in front of you. Go to the next traffic light and turn left onto Highway 204 West (landmark International House on the left). The Visitor Center is on the right at the Intersection between highway 204 and 21 North (Looks like a bank)

Directions from Rome*, Cedartown , Cartersville, and Powder Springs, Georgia to Jacksonville State University

Travel on Highway 27 South to Cedartown take 278 West to Piedmont, Alabama. In Piedmont, get on highway 21 South (you will see a sign that says Jacksonville/ Anniston). Highway 21 South will lead directly to Jacksonville State University. Turn right at the first red light. The Visitor Center is on the right at the intersection of Highway 204 and 21 North (looks like a bank).

*When coming South from Rome, take Highway 27 North.

Directions from Tennessee to Jacksonville State University

From Chattanooga Tennessee: Take 1 59 South to Gadsden. Take 431 South out of Gadsden (main drag). Go about 10 miles . See blinking light. Turn left on highway 204 East. Go 10 miles to JSU's Pete Mathews’ Coliseum. Go past graveyard, funeral home (on right) . The Visitor Center is located at the end of Highway 204 East on the Left (looks like a bank). Approximately 105 miles.

Directions from Atlanta, Georgia to Jacksonville State University

From Atlanta: Take I-20 West about 90 miles, then take the Anniston/Oxford exit (#185) and turn right off the exit onto highway 21 North. Directions from Montgomery, Alabama to Jacksonville State University

From Montgomery: Take highway 231 North. In Sylacauga, highway 231 North turns into highway 21 North. Continue 21 North through Talladega and on to Oxford. Directions from Florence, Alabama to Jacksonville State University

From Florence: Take highway 157 South or East to Cullman; In Cullman, take 278 East to Gadsden.

From Huntsville: Take 431 South go through Guntersville, Albertville, Boaz and Gadsden. Stay on 431 approximately 13 miles South of Gadsden until you see the blinking light. Directions from Roanoke, Alabama to Jacksonville State University

From Roanoke: Take US-431 North to Anniston.  Continue on US-431/AL-21 North through Oxford and Anniston.  Where US-431 and AL-21 split, continue on AL-21 North.  You will enter Jacksonville and travel around the Jacksonville Square (about 15 miles).
