By requesting a tutor, you have asked for assistance in the course you are taking. In order for the tutor to assist you, you must attend class regularly, take notes during class, attempt the homework assignment given by the instructor before coming to the tutoring session, and bring all necessary materials to the tutoring session.

If for some reason you are unable to attend a scheduled session please call 782-8223. Two or more cancellations in a month will result in you being dropped from the tutorial program. Should you be dropped you can reapply and be accommodated if space is availabe.

In addition, this application authorizes the tutor to communicate with faculty and/or staff concerning progress, grades, and class attendance in the course which you have requested tutoring. All Tutors have signed a confidentiality agreement, as part of employment, and any correspondence or communication concerning your student records will be kept private and confidential.

Applications are accepted on the first day of class and thereafter on a continuous basis during the semester. A telephone call or e-mail notifies students of the assigned day and time for tutorial sessions. If you have not been notified of an assigned tutor and session time 3 days after the date of application (other than the week of drop/add at the beginning of each semester), please contact Tutoring Services at 782-8223.
