Randal L. Wood, J.D.


Randal Wood, J.D. is presently an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at JSU. He earned his J.D. at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his B.S. in Accounting at JSU. Prior to teaching, Dr. Wood practiced law in Jacksonville, Alabama, doing extensive criminal defense work. While practicing law, he began teaching Business Law and Finance courses for the College of Commerce and Business Administration at JSU as an adjunct instructor. Dr. Wood gave up his legal practice when offered a full-time teaching position in the College (now Department) of Criminal Justice. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, and the American Criminal Justice Association.
