Cancellation & Refund Policy

JSU Home » Continuing Education » Cancellation & Refund Policy

You have the right to cancel your registration for any reason within three business days from the date of purchase; however, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 20% of the total purchase amount. Also, if the course includes one or more textbooks, the books must be returned at the student's expense. The request for cancellation will not be processed until the book(s) are returned to the school in reusable condition (if applicable). No registration will be canceled if the request to cancel is not made within the three business day policy. Refunds for cancellations outside the three business day policy will only be issued under the following condition:

  • If a student purchases an Online course and experiences technical difficulties which Thomson CompuTaught technical support deems irresolvable, then the student may be granted a refund.

A refund will NOT be issued to any student who purchases a course and later finds that they cannot satisfy the minimum system requirements for running the course. Here are some examples of situations in which a refund will NOT be issued:

  • A student buys the course and tries to run it on an Apple/Macintosh computer.
  • A student does not have at least Windows 98 or higher and is unwilling to upgrade to Windows 98 or higher.
  • A student purchases an Online course and does not have Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher and is unwilling to upgrade to IE 5.5 or higher.
