AT and T Foundation Presents $350,000 to JSU in Support of CORE

On Thursday, May 15, representatives of the AT&T Foundation, state legislators and Jacksonville State University gathered on the JSU campus for AT&T Foundation's presentation of a $350,000 contribution to the university in support of its Collaborative Regional Education (CORE) model program.

728 Degrees Conferred; Spring 2014 Class is Largest in JSU History

Seven hundred twenty-eight candidates received degrees from Jacksonville State University this spring, making up the largest graduating class in the university’s history. Michael Walker's "Multiply" Combines Music and Math to Help Children Retain Skills

Michael Walker, an audiovisual technician at JSU, is making melodies and helping children with their math skills in the process. Walker recently began Musical Learning Tools (MuLT), which essentially takes the approved Common Core Curriculum being taught in K-12 classrooms and adds catchy music and lyrics to it.
Orientation for New Students Entering JSU in May

The Office of Student Life will be hosting new student orientation for first-year students entering JSU in May 2014. Students will check in at the Theron Montgomery Building today, May 1, at 10 a.m. Students and guests will be introduced to student services, participate in a campus tour, have lunch with us on campus and complete academic advisement and registration. Transfer students are not required to attend orientation. Please direct any transfer students to the department of their intended major.
