Homecoming King and Queen announced


The Homecoming King and Queen were announced this past Thursday as students were allowed to vote online this year.

JSU's 2012 Homecoming Queen is Danleigh McDaniel. Danleigh is a sophomore majoring in Secondary Education and Mathematics. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, the Ballerinas dance team, Freshman Forum, and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. She was escorted by Austin Jenkins.

John Morton was named JSU's 2012 Homecoming King. John is a junior majoring in Public Relations. He is the president of the Public Relations Organization. John is a member of the Elite Gentlemen Organization and Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity. He is an SGA Senator and a resident assistant for university housing. He was escorted by Lauren Herring.

Finalists for Homecoming Queen included Courtney Clark, a senior from Germantown, Md., Kristen Dempsey, a sophomore from Cartersville, Ga., Myah Knight, a junior from Birmingham, Ala., Danleigh McDaniel, a sophomore from Alabaster, Ala., and Kristin Young, a senior from Ranburne, Ala.

Finalists for Homecoming King inlcuded Christopher Conde, a junior from Oxford, Ala., Levi Hulsey, a junior from Fruithurst, Ala., Justin Johnson, a senior from Stone Mountain, Ga., and Paul Killen, a senior from Ooltewah, Tenn.
