Novelist Susan White coming to JSU

Jacksonville State University and the Friends of Houston Cole Library are pleased to present author Susan Rebecca White.

Ms. White is the author of the critically acclaimed novels A Soft Place to Land and Bound South.

“White’s wit and graceful prose yield sharp insights about family, friendship and faith in the ever-changing South," said Publishers Weekly about her first novel Bound South.

Born and raised in Atlanta, she spent many years in San Francisco before returning to her hometown, where she teaches creative writing at Emory University. During the winter quarter of 2012 she was the writer-in-resident at SCAD Atlanta.

On Tuesday, October 23, at 7 p.m. Ms. White will be in Room 1103 B of the Houston Cole Library. After a short presentation, she will be meeting fans and signing books. This event is free and open to the public.

Copies of Ms. White’s books will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served after the presentation.

Her third novel, All It Costs Is Everything, will be published in 2013.
