Our next issue of The Chanticleer will come out just a few days before Halloween, and we have a little project that we would like your help with.
Do you know of any local ghost stories that you would like to share with Chanticleer readers? We would like to devote an entire page of our next issue to spooky stories that are preferably set in Alabama, Calhoun County, and especially JSU itself.
If you don’t know of any yourself, ask your friends, parents and grandparents for stories of local hauntings. We really want a good variety for our readers!
The stories you submit can be any length, but we do reserve the right to edit your stories for length or content. We also reserve the right to not publish material that we find to be tasteless or offensive. Remember, this is supposed to be fun! :)
Stories can be submitted electronically via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or on the Sound Off section of our website, www.jsu.edu/chanticleer. If you prefer to give us a hard copy of your story, you can leave it in the manilla envelope on the Chanticleer office door, Self Hall room 180, or hand-deliver it to any of the editors.
The deadline for submitting your stories to us is midnight on Tuesday, October 23rd. We can’t wait to hear from you!
