General Information
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests allow you to earn college credit by taking exams instead of taking classes. If your scores are high enough, you can complete your college degree in less time than the traditional college student.
Counseling and Career Services administers the CLEP tests for a non-refundable fee of $20.00 per test (cash/check/charge). The registration fee must accompany the registration form. Registration is not completed until receipt of payment and registration form. In addition, you will pay $72.00 to CLEP for each test you choose to take. It is recommended to pay CLEP by credit card, but check or money order is accepted. Registration materials are available in Counseling and Career Services or you can print a copy of the registration form. For further information regarding registration, call

Include a $20.00 check made payable to JSU for each test you are taking (ie. 2 tests = $40.00).
Remember, if mailing this form JSU's Counseling and Career Services is not responsible for lost or stolen test fees. Please, fill out two test dates. If your first choice is filled, CCS will place you in your alternate date and contact you. Mailing this form does not guarantee your testing date. All tests are held in Counseling and Career Services.
Only 18 examinees can test per test date. Registration is accepted in order received.
An examinee can take two tests per testing date.

JSU registration fee is non-refundable & transferable only to your alternate date. The registration fee must accompany the registration form. Registration is not completed until receipt of payment and registration form.
JSU does computer based tests only. Optional essays are not administered at this site. Check with your school to see if an optional essay is required.
