Dr. Richard Cobb, rcobb@jsu.edu Dr. Cobb earned his Ph.D. in Management Science/Operations Research from the University of Alabama,his Masters from Jacksonville State University, and his BS from Auburn University. During his tenure at Jacksonville State, Dr. Cobb has taught both undergraduate and graduate level courses in Production/Operations Management, Strategic Planning, Business Decision Making, and Simulation Modeling. He has conducted numerous courses and workshops in the areas of Total Quality Management, Supervisor Training, and Middle Management Training for both government and private organizations. His main research interest are in the areas of Strategic Planning and Production and Operations Management. The focus of his research is the air transportation sector. He has recent publications in The Journal of Air Transportation, The Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies, The Academy of Strategic Management Journal, The Journal of Business, Industry, and Economics, Quality Progress, The Journal of Air Transport Mangement, and Simulation. Dr. Cobb is a member of The Institute for Operations Research/Management Science, the Society for Computer Simulation, and Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. He has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, service, and research. He has worked with local affiliate organization of APICS, The Alabama Personnel Management Association, and the Anniston Area Mangement Association. He has worked with The Anniston Army Depot, Allied Signal, Department of Defense, and Honeywell.
