CPA Exam Requirements

ALABAMA CPA EXAMINATION

150 Hour Equivalency

In order to sit for the CPA Examination in Alabama, you must be a U.S. citizen or have declared the intent to become a citizen. You must be 19 years of age or older and possess good moral character. You must also meet the educational requirements.

You may fulfill the Alabama educational requirements at JSU in one of the following ways:

  1. Earn a baccalaureate degree with a major in accounting and complete the appropriate additional undergraduate coursework in accounting, business, and business law.

  2. Earn a baccalaureate degree in an area other than accounting and complete the equivalency of an accounting degree through additional undergraduate coursework in accounting, business, and business law.

  3. Earn a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting.
