Most Honors students also qualify for a variety of scholarships, including the prestigious Elite Honors Scholarship.
To qualify for the Elite Honors Scholarship, Elite Scholarship, Faculty Scholarship, Gamecock Scholarship or Gem of the Hills Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Alabama resident or a resident of one of the following Georgia counties: Bartow, Carroll, Chattooga, Coweta, Douglas, Floyd, Haralson, Heard, Paulding, Polk (Documentation may be required), Alabama high school graduate or Georgia high school graduate from one of the previously listed counties, entering freshman, unconditionally accepted and U.S. citizen. Official test scores must be on file at JSU prior to the deadline.
Applicants for the Elite Honors Scholarship must have a high school cumulative 3.5 GPA through the 11th grade. Elite Honors Scholarship candidates will be contacted and required to submit an essay and resume.
