The Military Science department is housed in Rowe Hall on Church Avenue. JSU has an outstanding Army ROTC program open to all eligible students. Satisfactory completion of the program may lead to a commission as an Army officer. The Gamecock Battalion was designated the "top achiever in training excellence" in the Second Reg ion in 1995. The facilities which include an indoor rifle range, 60 foot rappel tower, and weight room are among the finest in the nation.
