The Birmingham Chapter will hold its 9th annual "State of the University" dinner at Ross Bridge Resort on Thursday, April 11 with Dr. William A. Meehan as guest speaker. A social hour will begin at 6pm and the dinner will be at 7pm. Register online at www.jsu.edu/giving.
The chapter recently held an after-hours event at Jefferson's in Hoover. JSU Athletic Director Warren Koegel was our guest speaker. Thanks to all who attended the event!

The Black Alumni Chapter will be holding its annual Soul Food Banquet on Saturday, April 20 at 6pm on the 11th floor of the Houston Cole Library. This year's guest speaker will be Senator Vivian Figures. Make plans now to attend!
The chapter held a Jazz Mixer on the club level of Stadium Towers on the JSU campus in October, the evening prior to the JSU vs. Tennessee State football game. The jazz group T.A.D. of Jazz performed and there were nearly 100 people in attendance! Thanks to all who attended.

The Blount County Chapter recently hosted an alumni and prospective student dinner at Charlie B's in Oneonta. The event was attended by about 85 people. JSU's new head football coach Bill Clark was the guest speaker for the event.
The chapter hosted a Senior Sendoff Reception for Blount County students who began the fall semester at JSU. Thanks to all who attended.

The Calhoun County Chapter will be hosting its 8th annual Spring Shrimp Boil on Thursday, April 13, 2013. Make plans now to attend!
The chapter held a wine & cheese reception in the Coxwell Room at JSU's field house on Thursday, October 25th in celebration of JSU's Homecoming week. About 45 people attended the event and a silent auction raised $600 towards the chapter scholarship! Thanks to all who participated.
The chapter held its 7th annual Spring Shrimp Boil at the alumni house pavilion on April 19, 2012. This year's event was attended by nearly 300 people! Musical entertainment was provided by JAXPAN. Thanks to all who attended.

The Central Alabama Chapter hosted its third annual 'Denim & Diamonds' Gala at the Capital City Club in Montgomery on February 8, 2013. Special guest speaker was JSU President Dr. William A. Meehan and a silent auction helped raise money for the chapter's scholarship. Thanks to all who participated!

Central North Carolina Chapter
The Central North Carolina Chapter recently held a JSU basketball gathering in Asheville and the Gamecocks won at the buzzer! Thanks to all who participated.
The chapter held a JSU football watching party in October at the Fox & Hound in Winston-Salem. The chapter also held an alumni dinner at Newk's Express Cafe in Winston-Salem in May.

The Marshall County Alumni Chapter is holding a Gamecock Spirit Night at Jeffersons in Albertville on Tuesday, April 23rd. Come out and meet new JSU head football coach Bill Clark! There will be a silent auction to help raise funds for the chapter's scholarship AND Jeffersons is donated 10% of all sales to the chapter's scholarship.
