Art Alumni
Chapter The Art Chapter
is evolving nicely. We have a developed a logo for the Chapter and would
like to congratulate Abbey Wilkerson on her winning submission.
The most immediate
event is a Pot Luck Dinner on May 27th at 7pm at Hammond Hall. Following
that is our next meeting June 10th at 6:30pm at Hammond Hall. Following
the meeting is the VAS Opening at 7pm.
Later this summer
we have our own Show at Hammond Hall Gallery planned for July 15th - August
15th, the opening will be the 15th at 7pm. We hope to see you there.

We are also looking for some more individuals to assist with different
committees within the Chapter.
Iveta Staks ('06) - President Atlanta Area Chapter The Atlanta Area Chapter
would like to invite alumni and friends in North Georgia to participate
in a golf tournament in Acworth, GA! Click here to view a pdf

an alumni after-hours at Buffalo Wild Wings in Dunwoody. Thanks
to all who attended! The JSU Gamecocks will be
playing Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Thursday, August 28th. A
huge pre-game tailgate party is being planned. Check back soon

Birmingham Area Chapter The Birmingham Chapter will
be holding its annual alumni luncheon at Lloyd's Restaurant on Highway 280
on Saturday, July 19th at 11:30am. Our special guest speaker will be
JSU head football coach Jack Crowe. Be sure to contact the alumni office
to make your reservations! The chapter had planned a
"State of the University" dinner on May 8th at Ross Bridge Resort, but was
cancelled due to inclement weather. The chapter recently held
an alumni wine tasting in February at Wine'd Down in Hoover. Thanks to

are: Emily Clark - President Emily Clark ('99), President Black Alumni Chapter The Black Alumni Chapter held its annual Soul Food Dinner on the 11th Floor of the Houston Cole Library on Saturday, February 23rd. The Blount County
Chapter held a golf tournament at Limestone Springs in Oneonta
in April. Thanks to all who participated! Also, an alumni dinner
was held at O SO GOOD Bar-B-Que in Oneonta in February. Thanks to
all who attended. Joe Brindley ('64), President Calhoun County Chapter The Calhoun County
Chapter is having an alumni after-hours gathering at the Vault on the
square in Jacksonville on Tuesday, June 10th at 6pm. The cost is $6
per person and includes deli sandwiches and sides. There will be a
cash bar and door prizes will be given away! Make your reservations

your calendars for Tuesday, July 1st to participate in the Calhoun County
Alumni Chapter Blood Drive at the alumni house. The local blood supply
for the American Red Cross runs very short around the 4th of July and they
need our help! No reservations necessary. The drive will be from
10am - 4pm. The chapter held
its 3rd Annual Spring Shrimp Boil at the alumni house in April. There
were over 200 people in attendance! JAXPAN, (a steel drum band) provided

is hosting an alumni networking luncheon at the Silver Spoon Cafe

Valley Chapter The Chattahoochee
Valley (Auburn/Opelika and surrounding areas) held an alumni outing
at the Columbus Cottonmouths minor league hockey on March 1st. Thanks to

next chapter activity. The chapter
hosted an Alumni After-Hours event at Fairways Sports Bar located inside
the Marriott at Grand National in Auburn in November. Thanks

Cherokee County Chapter The chapter is in the process
of selecting new officers and will become active again soon. Check back

Justice Chapter Make plans now to attend the 4th Annual Criminal Justice Alumni
Chapter Dinner on Friday, October 17, 2008! Check back soon for more
details. The CJ Alumni Chapter hosted its 3rd Annual Alumni Dinner at the
JSU alumni house pavilion on October 19th, the night before Homecoming,
2007. The dinner was sponsored by Calhoun County Sheriff Larry
Amerson, and throughout the day, the sheriff's department displayed
many of their capabilities, including K-9 units, simulators, and SWAT
demonstrations. Thanks to sheriff Amerson and all the department staff
for a wonderful day of activities! If you would like to become

President Dekalb County The Dekalb County Chapter recently held a "Dinner & Theatre" event in Rainsville, Alabama.
