Over the past twenty years, an explosion of new technology has changed not only the way we live but the way we learn. Students today grew up with technology, and for them, it's not exotic - it's expected. Although the college has made progress in incorporating some of these features into our educational programs, the creation rate of new ideas in technology is greater than the rate at which we've been able to use them.
We are currently performing an assessment of new technologies available to enhance student learning and which of those can have the most impact. Examples may include Web and video conference, podcast lectures and the use of more sophisticated business simulation systems. A wealth of technology is available, and students are increasingly demanding it. Your support of this initiative would promote innovative and technological advancement to prepare our business leaders in the coming decades.
Student Teams Achieving Results
JSU's student enhancement program, STAR, sends teams of top MBA's and BS's to build comprehensive and actionable strategies for corporations and not-for-profits seeking to strengthen their global competitiveness. STAR teams receive academic credit for their four month engagement with their clients, and are guided by both a faculty advisor and an executive from the client organization. Your support of the STAR Program gives our graduate students the opportunity to reach beyond the classroom and get first-hand experience in creating strategies that work in the marketplace.back to College Initiatives
